My first one, venturing out on a new BBQ adventure. Heard I could not go wrong with a Hasty-Bake. So far so good with Ribeyes, fajitas, and chicken. Going to try an all day smoke this weekend with Brisket and Beef Ribs.

Shake and Hasty Bake

This is my second hasty bake, could have purchased any other grill, never can go wrong with a Hasty Bake !

Just getting started

Just received my gourmet hasty bake a week ago. Started off maxing it out and searing some Singapore satay (pork, chicken and shrimp). Wow it’s hot! Performed flawlessly. Next on to some jerk chicken and then pork shoulder. The chicken on smoke setting worked very well. Low and slow on the pork was more of a challenge. It took a water pan on the heat deflector and carefully tending the charcoal to do “low and slow”. I think I will stick with my WSM for the large cuts. Looking forward to searing some steak this weekend. I would like to review in 6 months once I’ve torture tested this baby. So far so good!

Hasty-Bake Historian

I’ve owned a hasty bake portable since high school back in the 80s. Later I bought a suburban and after that a gourmet, everyone loved the food I made on it. In 2015 I entered a bbq competition with my gourmet and won first place for my ribs. Since then I’ve entered other competitions and have had success! I use them all year at least once a week
