Not very heat resistant, burnt my hand first time I used them. Very disappointing!

Hi Karl, we're sorry that you had a bad experience with the fire gloves. They are made of heavy leather and kevlar, the same combination commercial welders use, and usually provide superior heat resistance for doing routine tasks on the grill - removing fire grates and extenders, opening the fire door while the grill is hot, adjusting vents and momentarily removing the heat shield. Any extended use on hot surfaces (manipulating hot coals with gloves, holding the heat shield for extended period of time, etc) is not recommended. Feel free to reach out to support@hastybake.com and let us know what you were doing when they got too hot and we can review. Appreciate your purchase and hope you're enjoying your grill.

Love them!

I bought some cheap welding gloves from Home Depot and afternoon burning my hand a few times through those, I decided to get something that would work!

I highly suggest you get these with your grill purchase. Don’t waste your money elsewhere.

Plus, the red and HB logo are fun :)
