Andrew Young The stand really helps to bring the grill to the height of other HB grills for cooking. We've had the Ranger for a little over a year and looked around and around for the best thing to set it on and the stand is the absolute best out there.
It is a bit pricey but, being collapsible and fitting on top of the Ranger, it is worth it. We've already increased our usage of the Ranger about 300%.

Jim Gram Very nice construction, but just watch for pinch points when setting up and make sure the legs lock or it will collapse if you try to slide it with the grill in place.
