Rockin' Rooster Bird Brine - All Q'ued Up! By John Lindsey
Directions Per Label Instructions: (This recipe can be adjusted for larger or smaller batches, keeping the ratio.)
- Mix the ration of 1 cup of Rockin' Rooster Bird Brine to 1 gallon of water.
- Place poultry in a container and pour the brine time mixture over the top. Make sure poultry stays submerged.
- Store poultry in refrigerator or an ice packed cooler for the total brine time. Wash off brine and dry poultry before seasoning.
Whole Birds 12 lbs and larger, give them a 24 hour soak. Birds under 12 lbs, give them a 6-12 hour soak. Poultry pieces, give them a 4-6 hour soak.
