WHY COWBOY COOKS CHOOSE BERTHA
Dutch Ovens, Skillets & Open-Grate Cooking — All on One Stove
Removable stovetop eyes sized for 10", 12", and 16" dutch ovens and skillets let you braise, fry, and simmer over live wood fire, a lifter hook is included. Three 1/4" steel round-bar cooking grates handle everything else, from steaks to whole cuts low over the coals.
Two-Door Access. Full Command of the Fire.
Two heavy-duty all-welded stove doors give you two-sided access to the fire, so you can manage your fuel, adjust your heat, and cook from whichever angle the meal demands. A fully-welded floor contains the fire securely underneath it all.
Corten Steel. Built for Life — and Better With Age.
Bertha is built from 1/4" and 3/16" corten steel, the same material that develops a natural rust patina to self-seal and protect the steel beneath. She'll weather every season, every cook, and every story, growing more character with every use. This is a stove that outlasts trends.
Roll It. Tie It Down. Set Up Anywhere.
Heavy-duty solid rubber caster wheels make Bertha easy to reposition on any surface. Tie-down handles keep her secure in transit, fold-down side tables give you workspace when you arrive, and heat shields protect your legs from the stove walls during a long cook.
Handmade in Tulsa. One of a Kind.
Every Bertha is made by hand to order in Tulsa, Oklahoma. High-quality welds, craftsman tooling marks, and raw ingenuity go into every one — and no two are exactly alike. Your purchase also grants access to exclusive Bertha videos and content from Kent Rollins himself.

We received Bertha in excellent condition. The crate that is was shipped in was very well built (almost as well as Bertha) and the stove is a work of art. Beautiful craftsmanship. The fit and finish is absolutely perfect. We will be cooking on it this coming weekend for the first time. Can’t wait to see how the steaks come out. Thank you for building such a beautiful stove. Worth every penny.
To say that I was excited to see the FedEx truck pull into my driveway and deliver Bertha is an understatement! Bertha was well protected in the pallet and arrived in very good condition. It took me about an hour and a half to go from fully packaged to ready to have the first burn-in. I was working alone. These initial steps would certainly have gone faster had there been some additional help. When it came time to tilt Bertha to put on the wheels, I used my floor jack to get her high enough to slip the wheels into place and lock them down. After doing one side, I simply moved to the other with the jack and repeated. Next, it was a simple matter of rolling her off the bottom of the crate. Hanging the shelving and installing the chimney was straight forward and easily accomplished. I did a burn-in for about 2 hours running a hot fire. The next day, I did a seasoning burn and used grape seed oil to season the surface. Most importantly, my first cook was Kent's Hominy and hatch chili soup using one of my cast iron Dutch ovens. My learning lesson from the first cook was to start my fire earlier and make it bigger. It was a cool day here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. By the time, I got the soup up to a rolling simmer, my wife and I were sitting close to Bertha enjoying her heat output!
Last winter I cleaned it and oiled it up came out of the spring a little dusty(stored an old chicken coop). This is the best purchase I have make to cater off of. Start off the day with firing up this old girl with hackberry to start coffee on, pull an eye with to start my breakfast protein to make breakfast burritos. She can also be used as a warmer with a roaster 3 cups water and a roasting pan liner. I’m so impressed with craftsmanships. State fire marshal is fascinated with the spark arrester, had to get checked off for insurance. A must have if you cook in wide open places like I do
I received my Bertha last Thursday and it was delivered in great condition. After putting on the tires, I wheeled it into my backyard with no problems. I gave Bertha a light coat of vegetable oil and quickly started my first fire. Appropriately, my first use was Cowboy Coffee. Saturday, I grilled chicken breasts and Sunday, I cooked Cowboy Gumbo on it. Through it all, Bertha was easy to use and clean; she even got her first baptism of rain on Sunday morning. I couldn’t be more delighted and can’t recommend enough if you are a lover of fire and food. Thank you Kent and Hasty Bake for a great product!
