The Hasty Bake steak weight is made out of 304 stainless steel and can be used on any grill. It features a low-profile, sturdy, vented handle, and 3 slotted temperature probe access holes for easy doneness checking, mid-cook. The HB steak weight fits neatly underneath the hood of the HB250 while searing is underway, whether on your GrillGrates, or up on your grill extender.
A steak weight works by applying additional pressure for an even cook and consistent metal contact, allowing deep, pristine grill marks to form on the surface of the steak during the searing process.
The steak weight is also a great tool for smash burgers on your favorite griddle.

Rod McDonel I believe the bottom plate needs to be thicker and heavier. Also all edges need to be dressed a little bit more to reduce the sharp edges. I do like the stainless steel construction
